Neither color has smooth or glossy paint, but there are numerous scratches and wear points where the paint is missing. The red is darkening out to more of a brick red, and the white is cracking. There's a big hole in the front fender from the original mount. We do love the jewel grips - and they're in excellent shape. This bike is mostly original - wheels, seat, rear rack, fenders, chainguard, parts - but probably not the handlebar and definitely not the grips or tires. Its all there - the tires hold air, the brake stops you, and the chain is almost supple. This bike is a nice project and it would be a blast to ride around for fun. This early balloon bike is almost more moto-bike than balloon tire. This screen printed version is a bit wider and has the mounting holes. The etched version of this badge has slightly different art work, and has top & bottom mounting holes. This latest version was just screen printed, not etched.
